How the index is computed
0–100: identity + activity + timeliness + evidence, 25 points each.
- identity. 25 if the institution proved control of a domain (/.well-known/hardstate.json), else 0.
- activity. 25 × min(1, log10(1 + records in the last 30 days) / 3): 1,000 records a month or more scores full.
- timeliness. 25 if the median time from recording to a confirmed Bitcoin block (OpenTimestamps or HardState Anchor) over the last 90 days is ≤ 3 h, falling linearly to 0 at 48 h; 0 with no confirmed records.
- evidence. 25 × share of procedure records (not key or profile changes) that commit to at least one document.
Derived only from public data; recomputable by anyone from the API. Demo institutions are listed but excluded from totals.
